nysataartshow14Liverpool High School Annex ninth-graders Aurelia Geerer and Natalie Tauro recently represented the Liverpool Central School District during the annual New York State Art Teachers Association (NYSATA) Art Exhibit at the New York State School Boards Association (NYSSBA) Conference in New York City.

Both students created their artwork as eighth-graders in Soule Road Middle art teacher Susan Sapareto’s classes. The artwork was part of an English and art collaboration project. Students were asked to write a piece of poetry, prose or a short story and then illustrate it using acrylics.

Geerer and Tauro were honored during a reception at the Sheraton New York at Time Square on October 27.
