Message from the County Health Department Regarding Spring Break & the Zika Virus

Monday, March 14, 2016

Onondaga County Health Department Medical Director Quoc Nguyen, MD, recently sent a letter to local school districts, including Liverpool, asking that we provide families with some important information regarding travel to areas where there are active cases of Zika virus transmission.

Many families may plan to travel outside of the continental United States during the upcoming spring break (April 25 to 29). The Onondaga County Health Department and the Center for Disease Control would like to encourage those families to take precautions before and during travel to prevent getting infected with the Zika virus.

Below please find several informational links that the Onondaga County Health Department asked that we share with families.
