Liverpool Dollars for Scholars to Hold Golf Tourney

Thursday, May 23, 2019 -

The 28th annual Liverpool Dollars for Scholars Golf Outing will be held Monday, July 15, at Foxfire Golf Club (1 Village Blvd, Baldwinsville). There will be a shotgun start at 10 a.m. and the tournament will be captain & crew format.

Participants can join a foursome or golf with friends/colleagues. The cost is $100 per person and includes greens fees, cart, coffee, doughnuts, lunch, dinner, on-course refreshments and prizes. There are various donation levels and other opportunities to support the tournament, sponsor a hole, or award a scholarship.

All net proceeds from the event will fund scholarships for Liverpool High School graduating seniors in the Class of 2020. At its annual reception for scholarship donors and winners in June, Liverpool Dollars for Scholars will award nearly 200 scholarships worth more than $116,000 to students in the LHS Class of 2019.

The annual golf outing is one of Liverpool Dollars for Scholars major fund-raisers. The organization is looking for golfers, door prizes, and hole sponsors. Liverpool Dollars for Scholars board member Adam Tartick is coordinating the event.

“We continue to be grateful to the Liverpool community for your overwhelming support,” said Liverpool Dollars for Scholars President John Cerrone. “Please help us meet our eventual goal to award a scholarship to every eligible student who applies.”

Unable to golf on July 15? Consider making a monetary donation to Liverpool Dollars for Scholars, PO Box 32, Liverpool, NY 13088-0032. All donations, regardless of amount, are appreciated.
